I would find a village in one of the pacific islands and offer them direct funding to projects gaining the whole Village and the people in it. If possible i would Fund hospital, school and watersupply. Buy medicines. Buy all schoolmaterial and the hospitalmaterials. Make sure that the money was spend on the rigth projects like freshwater and how to contain it and keep it fresh. I would try to give them electricity using solarpanels and storingunits. Now if they allready have all of this i would upgrade it all to be better and safer. I would stockpile medicines and freshwatertanks with circilationsystem. I would make sure the children got uptodate learningmatetiale. Updated teachers. I would make sure that all the one million dollars went directly to the people of that village in the way I mentioned. Every single dollar.
