Norwegian national day 17th may

This is our celebration for being free from the Swedes and the foundation of our nation. This day is the most important day for us. The norwegian flag is up all day long all over the country. There are parades in every town and it’s mostly all the children from kindergarden to college students who marches in our streets this day. It’s a national party day! And we do it all together! They march past the castle where our king and queen are standing waving to the children marching and waving flags! The Royal guards are showing their military tattoo skills and have their own corps playing the national anthem and other marchtunes! This is very nice to see how they handle themselves doing all this! So today we are celebrating our great country! Hipp hipp hurra!!! Chants we shout out waving the flag! We are eating strawberrys with cream, hotdogs, icecream and a lot of norwegian homemade food! Traditional food! So have a good day to you all and hipp hipp hurra for us in NORWAY!
