Favorite place…

Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

I have a place i have visited every year. This place has a very hard trail you have to hike for 2 hours before you get to it. Let me see if I can explain it: I drive from my home for 3 hours and I park in some woods. Then I hike for 2 hours and I reach the place coming over a small ridge. When you arrive you look over the area from that ridge and here is what you see. Looking down you see the trail and it goes down to a small creek. Cross it go thru some trees and a clearing is opening. There you have the cabin! No electricity no running water! A well and the creek provides clear mountain water. The woods gives us berrys and so does the mountain surrounding the valley. Wild game like rawdeer, rabbits, deer and moose and some big woodlands birds. We fish in the lake for freshwater trouts and on the other side there is a river where salmon comes back every year to spawn. We grow vegetables ourselves! We even have a stoneoven we bake bread in! This place is my sanctuary and I can only say it’s in the norwegian mountains far away from it all! I spend 7 months of the year there! No traffic, no humans, no noises but natures noises like music compared to towns noises. Silence! Fresh air! Always something to do every day i am there! No matter what weather there is sun or rain. I will die in that place peacefully and contempt when that time comes!
