Didn’t but should have…

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

Once I was in Spain the famous Canaria islands i was on the beach and an old man was having a hard time in the waves. He couldn’t get his feets under himself so he could stand so he was washed around in the waves instead. I was about to stand up and go in to action when I saw some people grab the old man and helped him onshore. Problem was he swallowed a lot of water and a lot got into his lounges. I watch them trying to make him breath but they didn’t get any results. I said to myself: roll him over on his stomach assholes. God how dumb are you people? The ambulance came they checked him out put him on the trolleybed and rushed him to hospital. Now here is what I would have done: I would have grabbed the old man dragged him onshore and rolled him on his stomach. I would have lifted his body so he could empty his lounges and then roll him over on his back! Checked his puls and breath. Used cpr if necessary! The first main goal would be empty the lounges! The old man survived and came back to the hotel after a few days. Traumatized but alive.
