What’s the most interesting local custom you’ve encountered?
The most interesting local custom i have encountered are when I was in Italy on my tour around europe! Well, the tour started when I arrived in Rome! I came to Rome at nigth and I needed to go to the toilet. This was in 1982 and I found a public restroom in the railststation! I went inside and saw a whole in the floor with to footprints one on each side! That was the toilet! I took a big dump standing/crouching over this whole! Aiming like a motherfucker but it was so long it curled over the edge! I was trying my best to aim and hit the middle! So I had to use my hands!I KNOW! IT WAS STINKYBAD! BUT, i found out that every public toilet was like that! The insane part was the toiletladys selling one and one wipe from the toiletpaperrole! Yes, one wipe cost 10 italien lire, about 10 cents, and I needed some! So I also found out that Italy was the last country in europe to install toiletbowls in the public restrooms!
