What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done when no one was watching?
When I was a young man, around 23 years, i was hiking alone to a nearby mountaintop called Dalsnuten. It’s a local hiking trip and takes about 2,5 hours to get up there. Nice trip actually! So, i went and 1 hour in i saw a rawdeer calf struggling in the water in the fastrunning stream. I didn’t think and suddenly i was in the water chasing the calf and grabbed him rigth before it was to late! I struggled with the calf, my backpack and the cascading water! Luckily i had footing on the bottom but I was almost under! Managed to climb on to the embankment with the calf and backpack and me! Sat down and layed the calf on the gras and stroke him gentle over the head and neck. After about 30 minutes i heard a sound behind me and there she stood! Mother! The calf stood up shivered a litle and went over to mum. She sniffed the calf licked him and pushed him on the way! She stopped looked at me and kind of nodded her head as a thank you! I was proud i was humble i was alone! Learned something useful that day!
